Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use CalcSorted.com. That includes people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, larger text or high-contrast settings.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What we do
- Every page is designed for a small phone first, and works on a slow connection.
- You can use every calculator, button and link with a keyboard alone.
- Every field has a label you can always see. Errors are explained in words next to the field.
- When a result changes, screen readers announce it without interrupting you.
- Text has strong contrast in both light and dark mode. The site follows your device’s setting.
- We use a font designed to be easy to read.
- Nothing moves or plays on its own, and there are no pop-ups.
How we test
We test every page template, in light and dark mode, before it is published. Testing catches many problems, but not all of them. So before each new calculator is released, we also try it on real phones.
Known gaps
- The calculators need JavaScript to work out results. The rest of each page works without it.
- We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit.
If something doesn’t work for you, please tell us.
Tell us about a problem
If you find something hard to use, contact us. Tell us the page and what happened. We will try to fix it within 10 working days.
